This month has been rushing by. A few things to mention.
I’m now part of a peer networking group that meets every month. There are 12 women photographers in the group and I’ve been to a couple of meetings and socials. A great group and very happy to have been invited to join by a photographer whose work I really respect. Everyone is serious about their work - several have completed an MA in Photography at LCC where I will be going, so it’s been great to find out more from their experiences.
I am in discussion about an exhibition in 2020 which is exciting. More news to follow next month.
Have been really concentrating on what’s important work-wise and made a decision to not submit to open calls unless they follow the themes I am interested in, or offer something new. This has meant letting several pass by that I would usually enter, but the decision feels right.
I’ve been continuing to add to the Beyond Land series - just made one visit this month.
