Very happy that my new video, Becoming an Island, has been made an official selection for the Cine Paris Film Festival 2026 - thank you to the selectors. I think of films as my heart projects - you spend so much time inside them and they are inevitably personal. Although my short films are usually topical they are also experimental and idiosyncratic so it’s always lovely to receive some positive feedback.
At the end of September I found out that I was a semi-finalist in the Head on Foundation Landscape awards with a photograph from Disrupted Landscapes, and will be in the Head On Photo Festival's digital exhibition at Bondi Pavilion Gallery, Sydney, 8 - 30 November. Congratulations to all the semi-finalists and finalists and thank you to Creative Director Moshe Rosenzveig and the selection panel.
I’ve spent more time this month visiting exhibitions although I have to avoid busy private views and events, unfortunately. I’ve also made it to the coast twice this month to gather some fresh source material for Disrupted Landscapes.
