This month work from Disrupted Landscapes was shown online in NEXUS, curated by XLVI Space, and a physical version of the same exhibition opened at Photo Open Up festival in Padua, Italy.
Also this month the East Meets West Masterclass began and there was an introductory evening session online, and then a full day’s crit/discussion with artists Bindi Vora and Tom Lovelace. This generated some great ideas and it was also wonderful to see and hear about the projects from all the participating artists.
I was really happy to be able to get back to the Kent Coast in September to shoot some material for my Chalk video and it was a blazing hot day. Through a friend, I made contact with somebody local to the area and was able to shoot some stills and video of them. I also posted an ad for a narrator - finally deciding I didn’t want to narrate the piece myself. This was such an interesting process as I listened to almost 30 submitted readings before making my decision. I am hopeful that the video is very nearly finished now.
Also, if you’re near Eastbourne, Sussex, my short video, Frame, is playing on loop at The Port Hotel. I was invited to screen it by Peter Cadwallader, who was the Chairman of Worthing Museum trustees when I had my show there in 2020. Port Hotel likes to feature artists with a connection to Sussex. There’s an interview with me on their website journal as well as links to the other artists that they’ve shown.
