The photograph above was exhibited through August at Snape Maltings, Suffolk, part of the Summer Contemporary exhibition. It was taken in the Isle of Skye earlier this year at the otherworldly Fairy Glen. The exhibition was displayed across several galleries. The architecture of the different buildings and their setting on the river bank with outdoor sculptures by Barbara Hepworth are impressive. I visited last week and stayed in Southwold with friends - it was good to spend some time in this beautiful part of the country.
I have been continuing to work on the new project, a reflection of this overwhelming and difficult year. I am enjoying the process of immersing myself in this video and feel that it’s nearly complete. Once it is finished and circulated to some degree, I’ll be able to look at Disrupted Landscapes again and think about the photographic work I would like to make.
